So, my other current conquest, in addition to Impulse, is the short-lived West Coast MODE label.
A singer by the name of Doris Drew recorded an album for that label called "Delightful Doris Drew". That album sells for absurd amounts of money. Here is the auction I was watching yesterday (almost $400!):

In the past, like with some albums on Impulse that I was surprised to see fetch collectible prices, I was able to determine that the popularity of the album had to do with fame due to being sampled in the hip-hop community.
But with this I find nothing. Doris Drew apparently sang some Hanna-Barbara theme songs... but surely that doesn't merit this level of insanity???
the annoying thing is that I doubt I will even like this album. I just like to complete labels that have mostly good records because that's just how I am.
Any insight on this silliness? No other record on MODE sells like this. Not even the good ones!
