Ok, So I know Rudy Van Gelder and Playsite where separate entities from Blue Note, so its not really moonlighting, but I got a little thrill when I notice my box set of Mahler's 1st and 9th symphonies on Vox are not only mastered by Rudy but pressed by Playsite! RVG stamp and 'ear' P. Of course, seeing as they where recorded in 1951 in Austria, they don't sound anything like a Blue Note. I know RVG masters turn up on non-jazz recordings, and Playsite pressed for other companies, but anyone else comes across the dynamic duo on a non Blue Note recording, I for one would love to know about it. PS I'd post an image, but I don't know how....

Can't say I have. In terms of Plastylite & RVG. I have never imagined even seein them on the deadwax of anything other 50s and 60 jazz records.

Well he has definitely mentioned working for Vox in interviews but I didn't know they put out classical records. Anyway I can only guess you will find Van Gelder's initials in a lot of Vox records from that time period.
