Do all of the early Impulse titles with AM-PAR on the label also read AM-PAR on the back cover? I have a white label promo copy of Duke Ellington and John Coltrane that reads ABC-PARAMOUNT on the back cover.

arghhh!! that's a new feature no one considered before! AM PAR from A1 to A33 labels (A29 not found on AM PAR yet). here are mine, no suffix A: A 5: ABC Paramount on label, AM-PAR on first abstract cover A 6: ABC Paramount on label, AM-PAR on cover A 8: AM PAR on label and cover A 9: AM PAR on label and cover A 10: AM PAR on label and cover A 21: AM-PAR on label but ABC Paramount on cover AS 28: AM-PAR on label but ABC Paramount on cover A 30: ABC Paramount on label and cover A 32: AM-PAR on label but ABC Paramount on cover
while ALL should have AM PAR on label, the address AM PAR, in my collection, is up to A 10. anyone who can add infos on other numbers?

That was my reply above. I didn't mean to quote dottorjazz. Also all of the labels are AM-PAR.

The two I got recently, A21 and A23, are both Am Par labels with ABC Paramount rear covers.

i had noticed that there was some level of overlap with these. i am not particularly concerned about having covers with the right attribution, as long as the vinyl is original and the cover is convincing (laminated with big squared-off spine). however, i have all of the AM-Pars as originals save for 21, 30, and 33, and will be happy to check when I get home this evening.
I would expect the covers to show ABC before the labels

All of my records up to 33 (as is known) with the exception of Chico Hamilton, have Am-Par labels. After and including 17, Count Basie, they all have ABC Paramount on the covers, and all before have Am-Par

Thanks GTF. So the hunt is on for AM-PAR on the back cover anything over A 16.

i have all of the AM-Pars as originals save for 21, 30, and 33. so, for 1-20, 22-29, and 31-32, the covers have AM-Par up to 16, and ABC after. no word from me on 21, 30, and 33, though if anyone would like to donate, feel free.

and of course i note that A-29 has never been seen on Am-Par labels, and my copy, like all others, is ABC on the labels AND cover.
