Yes, those records are all great, though I am not sure that were I stranded on a desert island I'd want to listen to too many avant-garde records, even if that music has formed the bedrock of my listening. Funny thing, that. Why do you think that is, Cliff? I'm genuinely curious because i think there is a tendency with these 'desert island' lists to choose the records you think you can't live without (hence my remarks about Hill, Dolphy et al) rather than the records one would want to play most.... |
