"Craft Recordings Set to Release 'Another Side of John Coltrane' Aug. 20 While John Coltrane's legacy largely focuses on his innovative and influential work as a leader, the saxophonist and composer began his career as a highly respected sideman, who rose to fame playing alongside some of the greatest names in jazz. Craft Recordings' forthcoming release, Another Side of John Coltrane, explores this aspect of the trailblazing artist's career and spotlights some of his best work in sessions led by Miles Davis, Thelonious Monk, Sonny Rollins, Red Garland, Tadd Dameron, and Art Taylor." Thanks for this, some unfamiliar names crop up in the production credits
Mastered by Paul Blakemore: "Multi-Grammy winning engineer in many styles of music including rock, pop, classical, jazz, R&B, Blues, Bluegrass/Americana, acoustic, new age, gospel, and ethnic musics." Jack of all trades?
Clint Holley lacquer cutting: (Miles Davis Collection: lacquers were cut by Clint Holley at Well Made Music from hi-res 24-bit/192kHz digital transfers of the original analog tapes"
Craft seem to be climbing on the jazz reissue bandwagon, I guess the more the merrier. They have a reissue of Kenny Dorham Quiet Kenny in this years Record Store Day. Not sure I like the sound of the digital transfer business.

And I'm not a fan of what they did to the cover of their Lush Life reissue. The slipcase is pretty cool though. See covers @4:43:
