I'd love to see all this beautiful stuff on DVD or Blu-ray, but it will never happen. To stream or not to be ...
(P.S. I mean the colorized versions. I've been familiar with the B/W ones for decades.)

Was thinking the same. It may be worth while downloading these videos as they can disappear on a whim. The YouTube account can disappear or the rights holders can have them taken down. Also, there's a reasonably priced Panasonic dvd recorder available for £260. No idea what the quality of the video would be though. Ignore that. It's an hard drive model only. Maybe someone here has a dvd recorder and can fill us in?

I'm going to stream these videos on my firestick later. See what they are like on the big screen! I have some wine ready to go!

Maybe someone here has a dvd recorder and can fill us in? I have a "real" DVD recorder (old, no HDMI), and a TV without WiFi. I'd have to connect a laptop to the TV and then rip in real time. Gee, looks like work ... we'll see what we shall see.

Another upload by ebjazz93: Bud Powell, Clark Terry & Co. au Club Saint Germain, Paris, November 6th 1959 (colorized) Bud Powell (piano), Clark Terry (trumpet), Barney Wilen (sax), Pierre Michelot (bass), Kenny Clark (drums) [ ... ] What I like about this one, and some other videos of similar provenance, is that the pitch is correct. "No Problem" is in C minor, just as it was played. I have lots of videos based on film footage which, due to different standard frame rates (24fps for movies and 25fps for TV shows outside the U.S.), run 4 percent sharp, which equals two thirds of a half tone. Examples: All of the soundies, and all of the Snader Telescriptions, the latter ones being real "live" studio recordings from about 1950 or 1951 (Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Lionel Hampton, Nat King Cole etc.).

Just curious, bassman: do you have perfect pitch? I usually only notice those small differences if I listen back to back or try to play along.

I would have sworn that was Donald Byrd from the screenshot.
