The last time that I watched JD Allen live at Smalls (via the stream), his drummer, Nic Cacioppo, really impressed me. His playing reminded me a bit of Elvin Jones. Nic, just didn't stop.

So, the second tune that James Austin decided to play, was Stevie Wonders Isn't She Lovely. I groaned so bloody loud. However, Justin Robinson saved it. At the end of the tune, James Austin announces that he dedicates the tune to his eight month old daughter. Beautiful! Then he says that he has to play a tune for his three year old boy. It's the Spiderman theme. I groaned. Justin Robinson plays an unbelievable solo.

Does anyone here stream Smalls? Up until recently, I've been watching Smalls on either my laptop or iPad. Connecting the laptop to the tv was a bit of a drag. However, I've found a better solution. I bought Amazon's 4K Fire Stick on Friday. Was £50, down to £30. Handy for Netflix that I used to stream via an old console. The console wouldn't stream Smalls. Amazon's Fire stick does. There are two browsers available; Amazon's Silk browser and Firefox. Both stream Smalls with no problems at all. RALPH LALAMA is playing Smalls atm: www.smallslive.com/events/16071-ralph-lalama-bop-juice/

Does anyone here stream Smalls? For someone who used to sell time, I've always found working out what time it is in other parts of the world a bit confusing. Don't these NYC evening performances begin at half past midnight UK time which is way past by bedtime

Nothing very exciting I'm afraid Alun.
It was TV advertising time, 14 minutes in every hour.

Sorry I missed that one, I like this sound. Seems to be a lot of interesting music coming out of Israel. It's a proper melting pot of a place.
