I have a Coltrane CD discography online at www.gavagai.de/musik/HHM4302.htmAnd I got sued because of alleged copyright infringements for showing the CD cover of Complete Live in Stuttgart 1963. www.gavagai.de/musik/HHM4302.htmTo my regret amazon (for which I have affiliate links and the permission to use the CD- and book -covers) doesn't answer any request from me. Does anybody have a similar experience or is it just a German nuisance? @ljc Thanks removing the cover. I don't want to pay another fine. BTW The main foto on this 1963-CD is not from Stuttgart but from a concert in Amsterdam.

Taking "My Favorite Things" for a yardstick, all I can say is that previous editions seem to have been in the correct pitch/key (E minor in concert pitch, F# minor for tenor). To be sure, one would have to check the entire concert from beginning to end, which I did not do. Nor do I know how many tape machines were being used on the occasion. So it might well be that corrections were made for the current reissue.

"This release presents John Coltrane's never before released 1961 performance at the Newport Jazz Festival". This is clearly stated on the back of cd. untrue, partly or totally. Impressions and My Favorite Things were published in June 1987 on a vinyl issue attached to the monthly magazine Musica Jazz. I have a cd titled My Favorite Things-Coltrane at Newport but I can't check now 'cause I'm out of town for Easter. so "never before released" looks misleading, at least.

Of course, they probably mean "never before COMMERCIALLY released", but it is still incorrect at best and a lie at worst.

This definitely sounds wrong to my ears: [ ... ] It's a little "flat", not much. Less than a quarter tone, I guess - enough to be a candidate for pitch correction!

Hello everyone, I inherited a jazz collection and came across John Coltrane HPLP -1 to 3 (white, green, yellow) - hand-lettered. It must be the playlist of the concert on November 29, 1962 in Munich (German Museum). Is anyone here interested in this? Please feel free to contact us at info@dogcarrier.de Best regards

Of course, as a layman, I am not really sure that the LPs are from the concert of 29.11.1962 in Munich. I compared the playlists of the concerts in Germany that I could find and came to the conclusion. Can I send you photos of the 3 records? I can't seem to upload pictures here as a guest. If you are interested, please feel free to contact me via the email address mentioned (info@dogcarrier.de) and I will send you pictures. Regards

Considering the prices they are fetching, plus the fact that yours are even more unofficial than unofficial , you seem to be a lucky guy.
