Yes jazzhead, that Bootleg Series Vol 5 is an interesting artefact but probably for serious fans of the Second Great Quintet rather than casual Miles' listeners. I have the vinyl version and my one criticism is that Sony Legacy have been incrementally discriminating against vinyl buyers as the Bootleg Series has progressed with more and more of the material not being included in the vinyl version but only available on CD/digital formats.

"Today, although jazz music continues to be played and enjoyed around the world, it has become, along with classical music, one of the least-popular genres in the United States, according to recent sales figures."...and so there are many many bargain, and the few of us left can have and enjoy much of this great music very cheaply (unless we want the very high quality and/or original vinyl releases)

Also, London Jazz Collector is a great source for reading liner notes. I wouldn't use a mobile for that. The iPad and laptop are great though. Just tap or click the pics.

Like most of us, I've been tapping that source for years
