it looks like the writing hand is the same, but there are two different kinds of writings. my stock copy only has got a big dot under 1964. GST back writings are very similar but not identical to my preview back with the exception of the last three lines which are absent. lower left: "produced and printed for ESP Disk by Frap studio". on GST and Preview copy BUT, on my stock (? again): "for ESP Disk by Frap" only.... ESP is really a fascinating mystery.

I think rather of a printing problem by the cover from GST. With a brush there would be no "hole" in the trio R

GST, you've definitely got a first pressing, as we usually think. i don't think this is a promo copy. perhaps just something odd. in any case, congrats!

Yeah i don't think it's a promo i was just wondering if anyone else has problems with smudging/smearing of the paint. I figured it was common due to the silk screen process. Perhaps not.

Anyone know what details to look for when buying a first pressing of Pharaoh Sanders' "Pharaoh"?
Textured cover? Bell Sound stamp?
Insert? Black Labels or Blue Labels? Plastylite "ear"?

Black labels, ear, don't recall an insert but a printed inner sleeve with "The Moody Men Who Play The New Music" essay was included.

Well, since the original is a red label I would think that this was a homemade job to replace a lost cover. The water stain on one label has me assuming that its original sleeve was destroyed somehow.
